Sentinel Literary Quarterly Short Story Competition (February 2014) Update

For the first time since launched the Sentinel Literary Quarterly Short Story Competition series, the entries have been so low in numbers that we are not persuaded that the competition will be fierce enough.

Whereas the poetry competition for the quarter received 290 entries (110 over our target of 180 poems), the short story competition received only 31 (119 below our target of 150 stories).

Instead of cancelling the short story competition, we have decided to roll over all the entries into the May 2014 competition which will finally begin to accept entries this week. If you entered this competition and you do not wish to have your short story rolled over into the May competition, please email competitions@sentinelpoetry.org.uk to withdraw the story and to receive an immediate and full refund of your entry fee.
